With fierce black talons
he slashes my breast
Lightning Moon eyes
pierce straight through
As ominous as Night
his plumage expands
Bristling against my throat
I dare not stand
Beak poised atop this flesh
pulses reverberate
Consume the heart from my chest
never to return
