Let Creation Set You Free: Poetry

Lovers Secrets

Oh you, Shadow in the Corner
with every exhale leaving
a darkness o'er my cavern
it clangs within my breasts.
Your warm, life giving Flow
now spiraling into frigidity,
once brought me to convulsions.
Your Peak...FROZEN
Your Valley...SILENT
Your Curves...UNEXPLORED
Do you tease? Do you jest?
Or simply mock?
It won't be long now
Secret Lover,
before I traverse your every
nook and cranny.
Are you ready for me?

  7. Wow! My English Composition professor would love this! I love the magic we can spin with words. Even the ancient poets that wrote in Latin... funny how the underlying themes haven't changed much. =) It's been ages since I've written poetry. Blessings~

    1. Thank you Meredith. I appreciate your honest words. I agree! It is amazing how words from our soul can spark a fire so deep that it can burn within us so powerfully. I feel so grateful to G-d that inspiration literally just "HITS" me and I can't stop from coming out. I always support my fellow bloggers and writers to find their way back to themselves. Sometimes, its nice to get back to our basics of writing. I write a lot of stories myself but when I want to get back to me, Poetry is who I am. I can't wait to read your blog tomorrow Meredith. Your entire story inspires me.

  8. Nice poem! I'm so glad I came by! Lovely blog as well, although I had a bit of a hard time reading it so maybe white text in bold if you ever decide to make a change? The poem is inviting. This blog/journal/book is inviting. I believe I'll stay awhile. :)

    1. Thank you! I made some changes to the readability and made it more solid since that was also suggested to me by another blog reader. Thank you for your critique and love.
